TABLEWARE SET

This tableware set bears the coat of arms and the motto of the Séminaire Saint-Joseph in Trois-Rivières: “Religion et Patrie” (Religion and Homeland).

Produced by Grindley Hotelware (1908-1933) in England and ordered from Cassidy’s Ltd. in Montreal, an importer of porcelain objects, this set consists of several pieces. The cutlery includes an egg cup, a dinner plate, a bread plate, a soup bowl, a sugar bowl, and a tea cup with its saucer.

This tableware for special occasions was used at the seminary until the 1960s.
