These women’s shoes were worn by Agathe Dessureault Pronovost.

Agathe Dessureault was born in Saint-Tite in February 1883. She married Georges Pronovost, the widower of Alma Goulet, on February 19, 1917, in the parish of Saint-Rémi de Lac-aux-Sables, in Mauricie, Quebec. During the 1921 Canadian census, the couple lived in Trois-Rivières on rue des Volontaires with Georges’ children from his first marriage: Louis, Léon, Albert, and Napoléon. Georges and Agathe also had two daughters, Isabelle and Thérèse (1922-2001).

Mrs. Agathe Dessureault Pronovost, a widow since 1953, died on October 27, 1975, in Trois-Rivières.
