Aurore Pronovost is shown all smiles in this photograph, which has been enhanced with pastel, protected by a glass pane, and inserted into an ornate, oval-shaped gilt metal frame.

The daughter of Annie Carpentier and Uldéric Pronovost, a farmer, Aurore was born on April 22, 1904, and baptized the following day under the first names Marie Louise Aurore at the Saint-Tite parish church in Mauricie.

Aurore Pronovost married Laurent Paradis (1897-1985) on October 18, 1933. Laurent Paradis was the mayor of Trois-Rivières from 1955 to 1960.

Aurore Pronovost-Paradis died on January 22, 1974. Her funeral was held at the Trois-Rivières cathedral on January 25.
